Miss Sarah- Owner/Instructor-

Miss Sarah Guthrie has been teaching for several years and has over 20 years of dance experience with leading teachers in the USA.

Miss Sarah won the 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2015 "Top Teacher" & "Top Choreography" awardfor her hip-hop & Lyrical routines at Star Systems & Star Quest Competitions. Her Sr. Hip-Hop routine won "Best In Category" at Hall of Fame Dance Challenge. Recently, she won "MOST CREATIVE" choreography at StarQuest 2014 National Competition in Minneapolis! Her routines were chosen to re-compete in the World Finals, and placed 1st! Her choreography and dancers have earned over $7000 in cash prizes & scholarships at Nationals. DCW won highest scoring studio at World Finals in 2014.

She has obtained the best knowledge and training from several different dance studios across Michigan, as well as Lansing Community College, various conventions and competitions.

Miss Sarah has also choreographed for high school dance teams and her own National Competitive Dance Team. She is the dance team coach for the Waverly High School Varsity Dance Team. Her rapport with students is excellent and her own talent and enthusiasm for dance is extremely contagious.

The goals Miss Sarah has for her students are to be educated in the field of dance, have pride in their own accomplishments, to be inspired by others and the environment around them but most of all, have fun! She believes everyone must reach for their dreams, anything is possible!

Miss Morgan- Instructor

Morgan Plemmons has been a dance teacher and choreographer at Dance City West for 5 years now. With over 16 years of dance experience in all styles, Morgan has accumulatedher training from Dance City West, Lansing Community College and various conventions and classes with major dance figures such as Travis Wall, Stacey Tookey, Sonya Tayeh and Anthony Morigerato.

As a teacher and choreographer for the Dance City West Travel Team, many of Morgan's routines have placed in top overall scores regionally as well as nationally. She has also received choreography awards and entertainment awards for her competitive routines.

Morgan has also been a choreographer for the Lakewood High School Theater program in various musicals over the last five years. In 2014, Morgan and Melissa Plemmons' choreography for LHS's musical production of CATS was chosen for Best Choreography from regional high school theater programs.

Morgan hopes to pass on her passion for dance and the arts through her teaching, and strives to provide the best instruction possible to all of her students.

Miss Mikayla - Instructor

Mikayla Temple has been dancing for 15 years, all of which were at Dance City West. She was a member of the travel team for 9 years. Mikayla has won many regional titles and a national title in 2014. She began as a teacher's assistant in classes at age 12 and taught her first competitive solo at age 14. Mikayla has worked with many famous choreographers such as Stacey Tookey, Anthony Morigerato, and Travis Wall. Mikayla has a passion for teaching kids and her goal is to pass her passion on to others. She not only teaches the proper technique, but teaches performance and showmanship as well.

Mr DaVonte - Instructor

DaVonte Cotton has been dancing since he was 5 years old. While dancing at Pleasant View and Dance City West, he has learned he didn't just love to dance, he loved teaching it as well.
He has had a very successful career in the competitive world of dance; winning many 1st through 5th place awards, dance scholarships and a regional title (Mr.StarQuest) in 2015.

DaVonte's goal is to reach new heights with his students at DCW and teach new, fresh ideas inspired by some of his favorite choreographers including Stacey Tookey. He hopes to inspire more boys to join the dance world and also to inspire those who have the same passion for dance like he does.

DaVonte hopes he can change the world of dance one step at a time.
